Diseases of Fruit Trees

There are a few diseases of fruit trees that can lead to significant loss of yield, tree vigor, and even death.  It is important that growers understand these diseases so that practices are incorporated into general orchard care that prevent these diseases from being a problem.

This one-hour class takes an in-depth look at three primary diseases of fruit trees in Utah. Learn about the biology, identification, and management of:

• • Cytospora canker of peach/nectarine and apricot
  • Fire blight of apple and pear
  • Powdery mildew of apple, cherry, and peach.
