GNAR Academy – Planning for Resilient Communities

This course consists of seven lessons. Each lesson highlights a critical part of understanding and mitigating disaster risk, with an emphasis on small, rural, gateway communities.

These lessons were developed from our research on gateway communities, recent trends in natural hazard and disaster events, and in-depth interviews with 25+ wildfire, flooding, and disaster mitigation experts, as well as gateway community leaders.

• LESSON 6: Foundations of Resilient Land Use Policy Developing with Mitigation in Mind
• Lesson 7: Moving Forward with Confidence: Implementing Solutions and Measuring Impacts

This course awards an online badge upon the completion of the course.
