The course serves as a comprehensive online training aimed at enhancing the nutrition knowledge, teaching skills, and food preparation competencies of nutrition educators. It is specifically designed for individuals who are delivering nutrition education to the public. This NNCP course has been designed for frontline educators in state and federal nutrition programs providing community outreach.
It is intended to enhance the confidence and competence of educators delivering nutrition education to individuals and families participating in federal nutrition programs under the guidance of the USDA. Participants receive a certificate of completion. The training is provided by the National Nutrition Certification Program, part of Utah State University Extension, and aligns with national standards and core competencies for community nutrition education.
