Overcoming Impostor Syndrome for Women was created by the Utah Women & Leadership Project (UWLP) to empower women struggling with impostor syndrome. The course is based on research related to what impostor syndrome entails including its impact, origins, triggers, and influencing factors, as well as ways to manage and overcome it. Through this curriculum, the UWLP hopes to help women build their capacity and confidence to transform their lives. This course takes approximately four hours to complete, one hour for each of the following four modules:
- Feeling like an impostor?
- Impostor Attitudes and the Impostor Cycle;
- Types of Impostors and Triggers; and
- Strategies and Personal Plan.
Participants will read lessons, watch videos, complete activities, and self-reflect in a journal. Those who complete the course will be eligible to participate in related online quarterly discussions with UWLP; these discussions and this course do not constitute mental health counseling.
